Ways of generating income
Freemium apps: are becoming the norm, attracting clients with free features and when they like it – they pay for the full version with all the features.
Paid Apps: Apps which are paid for from the outset.
Subscription: Apps that have an active subscription with them – an example would be a stock market app that requires a subscription for a live feed of information.
Advertising income: Apps can have inbuilt adverts and revenue is generated by how many times \ how long an advert is seen in an app. A lot of free games have these.
In House notifications \ adverts: These are apps which advertise their own company. An asda app for example when installed would have a direct route to advertising its products, they can be non-intrusive by having a little number at the top right of the app icon, but can be effective.
